Private by default

A trading journal that's private by default.

Log a crypto or forex trade in 15 seconds on your iPhone. Review it on your Mac. Free and local-only forever. Pro tells you why you win — everywhere you trade, for the price of a coffee.

No account needed to look around. Saving your own trades on the web does — that's the only way to keep them and get them back. Native iPhone, iPad and Mac apps, fully local-only with no account at all, are coming to the App Store.

Why we built this

“Most journals just collect data. They don't interpret it. A journal should answer: where am I leaking edge? Not just: what was my win rate?”

— r/Daytrading

Every other trading journal shows you more charts. Hammer reads your own trades and tells you, in plain language, what's costing you and what's working — ranked by money, not buried in a report you have to build yourself.

Two things nobody else in this market does.

It tells you why

Not just a win rate — findings ranked by money: “Breaking your rules cost you −$412 across 9 trades.” With the trades behind each one.

Private by default — even the AI

On iPhone, iPad and Mac (coming soon), Free never touches a server — your journal stays on the device, and the written review runs on-device too. The web app stores your journal under your account instead, scoped to you with row-level security and never used to train a model.

Free is free, and offline

Unlimited trades, full metrics, calendar and export — on one device, forever. No trial, no trade cap, no nagging to upgrade.

One journal, every device

Pro syncs the same journal to iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web — log on your phone between trades, review on your Mac at night.

Funding fees, done right

Perp funding accrues every 8 hours and quietly eats returns. Hammer tracks it as its own line, not lumped into “fees” like everywhere else.

Built for crypto and forex

Spot, perps, futures and FX lots — average entries, partial exits and leverage handled at the execution level, not guessed at.

Your journal is scoped to you. Full stop.

The native apps are local-first: Free never creates an account, and nothing leaves the device — not even for the AI. A browser has no private on-device database the way a phone does, so the web app needs somewhere to keep your journal so you can find it again — it lives in your account instead, encrypted at rest and scoped so only you can query it through the API. We say so plainly rather than overclaim: technically, our own team could look at synced data the way any hosted service's operators can. We just don't, except to fix a problem you've asked us to fix.

  • Native apps: no account, nothing leaves the device — ever.
  • Web: your account, your rows — scoped by row-level security, encrypted at rest.
  • Never sold, never used to train a model. The written review is opt-in and disclosed before anything is sent.

Free forever. Pro when you want to know why.

No trade cap on free. Pro is Insights, the written weekly review, and one journal across your devices — $9.99/mo or $79/yr.
